The forgotten rice noodles
14th of September. A day like others for many of you, a big deadline for one of my scientific projects. But more generally, after hitting the "submit" button, a day for asking myself: is this the right career for me/for anyone? Where am I going from here with this poorly paid and unstable job, that is hardly going to pay my upcoming trip to Argentina, Bolivia and Chile (stay tuned!)?
When there are no sensitive answer to your questions, better forget the questions, just like I did with this rice noodles, cooked more than one month ago and abandoned in my food folder ;)
Now I seem to remember that they were made collecting spare leftovers in the fridge, after my family came back home and left me alone drowning in my own tears ;)
So here we go:
RICE NOODLES WITH SQUID, VEGETABLES AND BLACK SESAME SEEDS
(serves 2)
200 gr rice noodles
1 courgette
1 red pepper
1 onion (I think)
1 squid
sesame oil
soy sauce
sesame seeds
Cut the vegetables in sticks, then pan-fry them with a spoon of sesame oil for few minutes. Add the noodles prepared according to the instructions on the package, stir and add a couple of spoons of saoy sauce. In another pan, grill the squid cut in slices, add it to the noodles and serve with sesame seeds to decorate.
