Sunday's pasta al forno
Sunday's comfort food in italy is pasta al forno, and some traditions are not to be forgotten, so today I made a good tray (ok, two, but just because I was told that 500 gr for 6 were not enough and I would feel humiliated as Italian if my guests run short of food during a meal). "Delicious": this is how my two younger guests described my pasta ;)
PASTA AL FORNO
(1 tray)
500 gr short pasta
ragu' sauce (bolognese)
100 gr frozen peas
parmigiano (80 gr)
2 mozzarellas 100 gr
2 spoons breadcrumbs
Boil the pasta and take it out quite al dente. Cook the ragu' and add the frozen peas, cook 5 minutes more and turn off. Mix the pasta with a spoon of sauce and then start making layers according to the following order: pasta, sauce, mozzarella and parmigiano, until the border of the tray. The last layer has to be with parmigiano and breadcrumbs.
